Now regarded as an
‘emerged’ area, the
regeneration of
what was once one
of the seediest
areas in North
London, is well
documented.
St Pancras now
encompasses the mainline Channel Tunnel
link from London to Europe and, together with
Kings Cross, both stations link the north of
England to the Capital.
The old goods areas are to the north of both
stations are now largely new build apartments
totalling some 2000 new homes and a large
number of offices.
Google is relocating its European offices here,
the Guardian newspaper is already there and
BNP Paribas bank is expanding into new
offices in Kings Cross. There are large areas
of parklands and leisure areas scheduled,
often with canal views.
To the south of the Euston Road towards
Bloomsbury, a lot of older housing stock is ripe
for purchase and refurbishment.
This area is regenerating and will be
unrecognisable after the next 2 - 3 years.
